“We’re extremely proud of the exploits of our coach Vincent Rammoni and his progress in reaching the quarterfinals of such a big tournament. This is a first for Alex, coming from a young and talented tactician, and we fully stand by him to go all the way.

“He has set a high benchmark for other coaches in our league and I am certain some will take the baton from him someday and also make us proud just as he has done and even go beyond what he is destined to achieve,” Khumalo told Alex News.

Khumalo said Rammoni’s success was testimony to the hard work and dedication of the man also popularly known in the local football circles as ‘Lesole’ (soldier). “He’s been a student of the game whose obsession is to be the best.

“We want to wish him a successful outcome again when he takes on giants and highly decorated Orlando Pirates, who are the former Caf Champions League winners of 1995. My words to the coach are to cherish the moment, learn from the experience and let hard work showcase itself. We as the LFA are fully behind you.”
