Veteran actress Connie Chiume drives anti-bullying on Digify Africa’s e-learning platform

Award-winning veteran actress Connie Chiume is working with Digify Africa to drive its safety awareness programme on the e-learning platform Kitso which was launched at the Alex Safe Hub on 2nd Avenue.

Digify Africa’s WhatsApp Learning Bot Kitso was launched in 2021 to provide educators and parents easy access to online safety content and has roped in veteran actress Connie Chiume to champion its anti-bullying safety drive.

The platform leverages the power of WhatsApp to deliver a seamless and interactive learning experience that empowers educators and parents with the tools they need to protect their children online. What’s unique about Kitso is that she is free and accessible to anyone with a WhatsApp-enabled phone. And because it’s all in the user’s hands, the educators can learn at their own pace,

Digify Africa has now roped in award-winning actress Connie Chiume on its Kitso Online Safety Drive, which is n initiative that aims to raise awareness about Cyberbullying and spark dialogue about the roles educators and parents can play in creating safer online communities for children and learners.

In support of anti-bullying week, the organisation has released a three-part series to shed light on this form of bullying. Digify Africa believes that more awareness around this topic can help curb this crisis that continues to affect teens.

Digify Africa brought veteran actress and SA icon Connie Chiume to fight cyberbullying on its Kitso learning platform.

“We want to encourage educators and parents to learn as much as they can about online safety through our free learning tool Kitso because creating safer online communities is a collective effort. With Kitso, educators and parents can play a more significant role in promoting responsible social media use at school and home,” said Digify Africa CEO Qhakaza Mohare at the launch of the anti-bullying drive at the Alex Safe Hub.

The series also offers ways parents and educators, can support a learner/child who might be victim of cyberbullying.
