Nine licensing stations fully operational – City
JOBURG – This follows recent protest action which resulted in the closure of many of the testing stations.
The City of Johannesburg has confirmed that nine of its licensing stations are operating at full capacity.
This follows recent protest action which resulted in the closure of many of the testing stations.
“The closure was as a result of protest action by various groups and members of the community after changes were made by the Gauteng Provincial Government to driver’s licence and testing booking system, which blocks third parties from booking services on behalf of individuals or groups,” said the City in a recent statement.
As of March 15, the following licensing stations are fully operational:
Region A:
– Midrand Licensing Department
Region B
– Strijdom Park Testing Station
– Randburg Testing Station
Region C
– Roodepoort City Hall
– Florida Testing Station
Region D
– Dube Vocational License Department
Region E
– Marlboro Licensing Department
Region F
– Langlaagte Licensing Department
– Ormonde Licensing Department
– Eureka House
Kliptown Licensing Department remains closed.
