Men’s Forum provides soup donations

ALEXANDRA – The Alex feeding schemes received several packages of instant soups.

Rosebank Rotary Club donated 6 000 instant soup packages to Alex Men’s Forum on August 12.
The soup was distributed to NGOs based in Alex that manage feeding schemes for the less fortunate including Tondalushaka and Lufefe feeding schemes, Peggy’s orphanage, and the victims of the recent 4th Avenue fire.

Charles Mphephu, the chairperson of Men’s Forum, said the soup would go a long way towards helping hungry people especially the family of five whose lives were devastated by the 4th Avenue fire.

He said, “We are giving away these soups to the disadvantaged because we realise that we have been focusing on gender-based violence too much as the forum focuses on addressing the roots of gender-based violence.”

Mphephu expressed his gratitude to Rosebank Rotary Club for the donations.
He said the forum would hold a #NoExcuseWalk to also remind people that they were still a force for good against abuse.
