New Opel Crossland now in SA

The new facelifted Opel Crossland will arrive at dealerships throughout South Africa in February 2021.

Opel is introducing its facelifted Crossland SUV that now boasts a new look and a striking front-end design.

Slated to go on sale throughout Mzansi this February, the refreshed Crossland features the brand’s Vizor look that was worn by past products in the range.

Organically integrating the grille and headlights, the Opel Vizor of the new Crossland extends in one single sweep, across the front of the vehicle.

The brand’s legendary lightning-flash emblem proudly dominates the centre. The Vizor will become a hallmark of all Opel models in the future.
The makeover also incorporates new dark-tinted taillights at the rear and the new high-gloss black Tailgate surface (available in combination with the black roof) which makes the new Crossland look wider and stronger.

Also new are the front and rear skid plates, LED fog lamps (on the Elegance model) and stylish 16-inch light alloy wheels.

Another distinguishing characteristic is the rear Crossland badge which is laid out across the tailgate.

Crisp and compact on the outside, spacious, and versatile on the inside with a cool modern and distinctive SUV look, this new Opel Crossland SUV is the first to adopt the brand’s unmistakeable new face.

The new Opel Crossland is an SUV that is solid, spacious, comfortable, and comes with a host of safety features and numerous ultra-modern technologies and assistance systems.

All models come with LED lights which are much brighter than halogen bulbs.

Safety comes from forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Drowsiness Alert, Front and Rear Park Assist, Cruise control with speed limiter, ABS, EBFD and Hill Start Assist.

Inside, the new Crossland spawns an updated 7-inch colour touchscreen infotainment system, which runs the Apple Carplay/ Android Auto and Bluetooth compatibility.

There are six premium speakers, multiple way seat- adjustments, soft-touch materials with chrome and gloss black finishes on the dashboard and interior door panels.

The boot space is measured at 410 litres and can be further expanded to 510 litres and 1 255 litres.

Kicking-off the line-up is the Crossland 1.2 Edition that employs a naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine with 61 kW and 118 Nm of torque plus a 5-speed manual transmission.

The second in the range is the Crossland 1.2T Edition 6AT with a turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 81 kW and 205 Nm sent to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.

The range-topping model is the Crossland Elegance 1.2 Turbo.
