Rumour has it: Audi A4 and A6 to become fully-electric in 2030

However, the shift won't just happen overnight.

A new rumour has emerged and if it’s true, the Audi A4 and A6 could ditch combustion engines for fully electric powertrains.

This is according to Audi boss Markus Duesmann. However, the shift won’t just happen overnight. It will happen sometime in 2030. That means the next-generation Audi A4 and A6 slated to arrive in 2023 will still use normal engines as well as hybridized powertrains.

Duesmann further went on to say that the next-gen A4 and A6 will spawn a plug-in hybrid model.

Speaking fo the next-gen Audi A4, the new model will receive an evolutionary update with sharper lines as well as significant changes.
