Alexandra SAPS members are baffled by the killing of two people who were allegedly shot multiple times by an unknown suspect on the corner of 11th Avenue and Joe Nhlanhla Street, formerly John Brandt Street in Alexandra on 12 November.
According to Alexandra Police Station spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha, both the deceased succumbed to their injuries. “One was declared dead by the paramedics at the crime scene while the other was declared dead on arrival at Masakhane Clinic.”
“One of the deceased was shot twice in the head and the other thrice in the tummy. The Local Criminal Record Centre (LCRC) was summoned to the scene, the motive for the killings is unknown.”
Mbatha said the motive of the murder still remains a mystery but that a murder docket had since been opened for further investigation and no arrests have been made as yet.
