 Alex police search for suspects allegedly involved in the murder of a biker

ALEXANDRA – According to Alex police spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha, the stepfather had left his stepson riding the motorbike on the street outside and went into the house.

Police in Alexandra have appealed to anyone with information on the fatal shooting of a stepson of a motorcyclist on the corner of Joe Nhlanhla and 10th Avenue to come forward or call the police.

The stepson had come along with his motorcycling stepfather to attend a funeral at a house in the vicinity of the crime scene on 29 August.

According to Alex police spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha, the stepfather had left his stepson riding the motorbike on the street outside and went into the house.

A few minutes later, Mbatha said the stepfather was called and informed that his stepson had been shot. “When he arrived at the scene, his stepson was already dead,” Mbatha added.

Mbatha said eight cartridges were found on the scene and that his officers were still searching for the unknown suspects.

Anyone with information or may have witnessed the shooting is asked to come forward or call the police.
