Alex beauty queen through to the semis of Mrs South Africa
ALEX – Fortunate Twala makes the cut to the top 50 semi-finalist of Mrs South Africa 2020.
Alexandra community builder, humanitarian and one of Mrs South Africa hopefuls for this year’s beauty pageant, Fortunate Twala has thanked her family and the community of Alexandra for their support after she made the cut in the top 50 semi-finalists.
“I would like to thank my family and the community of Alexandra at large for their support in my journey to raise high the flag of Alexandra township,” she said.
“I am so happy that I’ve made it through to the semi-final stage and I plead with them to continue supporting me in this journey. I want the world to know that there are good things and good people who do great things in Alex. The journey has not been easy but the motivation from people around me is the fuel that keeps me going.”
Last year, the 40-year-old Twala was crowned Mrs Common Wealth South Africa, a title that she sacrificed earlier this year to compete in Mrs South Africa.
The beauty pageant which showcases the virtues of South Africa, the spirit of Ubuntu and the women of the country will announce the new Mrs South Africa in February next year.
