NOTICE: City Power is currently attending to an outage in Alex
ALEXANDRA – Residents in the are have been without power for over 24 hours.
City Power is currently attending an outage at Alexandra Substation following a trip on the 11KV Ruth distributor.
The cause is suspected to be a cable fault. This affects power supply from 13th Avenue to 17th Avenue, between London Road and Roosevelt Street.
“Unfortunately, we are unable to back feed due to overloading. Our teams are currently busy with repairs,” said City power in a statement on 3 July. “We apologise to all affected by this outage.”
