Alex philanthropist thanks community member for their support during family’s difficult moments

ALEXANDRA– Hlamalani was laid to rest in Waterfall Cemetery after a funeral service held in her home in Second Avenue, Alexandra.


Local businessman and philanthropist Linda Twala has thanked the community members of Alexandra for their support following the death of his daughter-in-law Hlamalani Selinda Twala.

Hlamalani (38) was a mother of four and the wife of Sizwe Twala who is the youngest son of Linda. She died in Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital on 6 March after a short illness.

Members of the community came out in their numbers to bid farewell to Hlamalani at the funeral service at her home on Second Avenue. Speakers described her as a sweet and humble person who loved helping others.

“I was very humbled with the support we’ve received as a family from people of Alexandra and family friends from different parts of the country,” Linda said.

“Though it has never been easy to lose a family member, especially someone who is young, we trust that God will give us the strength to move on. “Hlamalani was a loving wife to my son Sizwe and a caring mother to their four children that God blessed them with. We will remember her for the kindness, love and spirit of Ubuntu she had.”

Hlamalani was laid to rest in Waterfall Cemetery and leaves behind her husband, Sizwe and their four children, Siyabonga, Thulani and their twin daughters Zanele and Zandile.
