Alex Pantsulas set the stage alight with their slick dance moves
JOBURG -– Popular songstress Simphiwe Ngema has been chosen as brand ambassador of fragrance giant Gold Series.
A pantsula dance outfit from Alexandra mesmerised the audience with their slick dance moves at the showcase of the Gold Series range of fragrances, body lotions and deodorants at The Venue in Melrose Arch.
Calling themselves Urban Pantsulas, the outfit was not alone during their exquisite performance as they were backing dancers for the vivacious Simphiwe Ngema, a popular actress of Isidingo and Muvhango soapies, who also doubles up as a top class musician and ambassador for the range of products.
Ngema stumbled on the outfit during one of her visits to Alex and upon discussions with them, she discovered that they ‘ate, slept and dreamt’ their dance. “I told them I was impressed with their work ethic and commitment to a good cause,” she said.
“I also told them it was heartening to know that there are still some youngsters in our communities that still lived on the straight and narrow. I was so impressed that I decided to hook up with them for my musical productions.”
The dancers of the group are Sphelele Ngqulunga, Doctor Mabunda, Sbusiso Tshabalala and Thabang Rampisa who is also the director of the group.
