A suspect is wanted by the Alex Police Station for the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old taxi driver on 8 August at the intersection of 7th and Florence Mophosho avenues.
Spokesperson for the station, Captain Stephen Malatji said the incident occurred at about 9.30am. The suspect was a passenger in a gold Toyota Corolla vehicle with North West number plates.
The vehicle stopped parallel to a Toyota Avanza taxi driven by the victim and an argument ensued between the two. The passenger produced a gun and allegedly shot the driver once in the head and the vehicle sped off. Paramedics certified the victim dead on the scene.
