Criminals rob and rape six months pregnant woman in Alex

ALEXANDRA – Captain Stephen Malatjie has once again appealed to the community members to stay alert after a series of rape and robbery incidents were reported to the police.

The police have warned community members to remain vigilant in and around Alexandra after a couple was robbed of their valuables and the six-months-pregnant girlfriend raped by two suspects who were wearing balaclavas.

It is alleged that the two men mysteriously gained access into the couple’s house. Captain Stephen Malatjie, Alexandra Police Station spokesperson said,

“On 26 June at about 2.30 am, the complainant was asleep with his six-months-pregnant girlfriend when they were surprised by intruders wearing balaclavas. They pointed a firearm at the couple, demanding cash and cellphones. They tied the boyfriend on a small table and took the girlfriend out. When she returned, she allegedly told the boyfriend that she was raped by the suspects.”

Malatjie said a similar incident happened in the area a few weeks ago.
