Prisoner’s woes compounded

ALEXANDRA – Twenty more years added to convicts behind bars

Two convicts had 20 more years added to their existing sentences – this time for armed robbery – by the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court.

Tebogo Makganamisa and Bongani Tshale, who were identified in court while on trial for other unspecified crimes, were requisitioned from the cells for the robbery charge.

The two who were carrying a crow bar used to break into houses, pounced on the female victim at her Bramley Park home as she was about to close the gate on her way in mid-morning on 9 October. They forced her into the house, tied her hands and gagged her with a piece of clothing to muzzle her screams and covered her head.

They ransacked the place and took a Plasma television set, music system, laptop and other items. None of the items were recovered. Investigators traced them to the hearing further compounding their woes.
