Alexandra Football Veterans Associations call upon former footballers to attend monthly meetings

ALEXANDRA – Selepe has called upon all former footballers to attend their monthly meetings at Alexandra Stadium.

The chairperson of Alexandra Football Veterans Association Simon Selepe has appealed to all former footballers and soccer legends in Alexandra to avail themselves in developing nurturing young talent in the area.

Selepe said a veteran association which were formed in January last year by a group of ex-footballers to lend a helping hand in community, develop soccer and help retired footballers in and around Alexandra with their welfare was extremely concerned with the state of soccer in the area.

“We have scores of talented ex-footballers here in Alexandra who can help in nurturing our youngsters. Many young talented people find themselves drowning in drugs because there is no one prepared to help them see the way,” Selepe said.
