ORT South Africa of the Houghton Estate is set to raise funds for the needy

ROSEBANK – Everyone is urged to join the fun or challenge other riders or clubs.

ORT South Africa, an education and training non-profit organisation, is bringing the first-ever nightclub spin marathon to South Africa.

This South African premier ORT2SPIN event is set to raise funds for the children, youth and business owners who are supported by ORT SA at schools, clubs and through its many programmes.

Organiser, Helen Itzkin of ORT South Africa, said they were delighted that Elsa Storm, a master spinning instructor, would be pushing spinners to their limits at this South African first.

Itzkin said Virgin Active was generously loaning 30 bikes and they were being transported to the venue by Heneway, for the one-night-only super event.

“We urge everyone to join the fun or challenge other riders or clubs to clock more, and at the same time give back to a worthy cause,” she said.

Interested spinners can expect to pay R500 for a 20-minute session, there is a R150 entrance fee for club-goers to join the party and 50 per cent discount for students.

Itzkin added that corporates were welcome to ‘buy’ tables.

The event will take place on 21 June at the Harem nightclub in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

Popular DJs, Mark Stent, Vin Gruvin, Rickay, Rocca, DNA and Hapoly will be bringing their beats for the riders and a great vibe for spectators and dancers.

“ORT SA has trained and empowered thousands of South Africans in business skills, cutting-edge teacher training in Stem, IT coding as well as entrepreneurship through training and mentoring,” said Itzkin.
