Follow-home robberies increase in Bramley

BRAMLEY – Bramley police request residents to remain vigilant after reports of follow-home robberies.

The Bramley police urge all residents to remain vigilant when coming home from a shopping centre.

Spokesperson for the Bramley Police Station, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said that the station had received a number of reports of follow-home robberies in their policing area.

He said victims are followed from shopping centres and when they arrive home, they are parked in by the suspects who will then rob them of anything.

He said, “Shoppers at Midway Mall and Balfour Park Shopping Centre, please be alert when you drive home.

“If you feel you are being followed stop at your nearest filling station until the car you think is following you leaves. You can also stop at your nearest police station and ask for assistance.”
