A suspect is wanted by the Alex police for allegedly raping his former girlfriend in an alley next to a church.
Police spokesperson Captain Allie Kodisang said the victim was walking to her 10th Avenue home from 18th Avenue at 10pm on 25 November when she met the former boyfriend on 14th Avenue. The suspect allegedly asked to talk to her.
When she refused, he produced a knife and ordered her to go with him. When she still refused, he dragged her into the alley near the church and ordered her to undress. Again she refused but relented and let him undress her after he threatened to stab her. He then undressed himself to the knees, forced her to bend and raped her from behind without a condom. When he was done, he got dressed while running away.
