Missing boy from Alex found

ALEXANDRA – Relief as missing boy is found in Tembisa.

A boy (17) from Alex, who was reported missing, has been found and reunited with his family.

Akhane Khoza who attends Nokuthula Special School disappeared on 28 October and was found roaming in a street in Tembisa by someone who had seen his picture on a missing person’s notice which was circulated in the township.

The school’s principal, Nomathemba Nomphumza said Khoza, who is intellectually challenged, was treated for dehydration at a hospital and has resumed his senior phase studies.

Nomphumza said they were informed that Khoza occasionally disappeared from home but was always found nearby. “We will propose to parents that the kids who can’t talk or are in some form of risk should wear arm bands or carry some identity at all times,” Nomphumza said.
