Alex murder suspect treated at Joburg-based hospital for stab wounds

ALEXANDRA – Murder suspect taken to hospital with knife stuck in his body.

A murder suspect was taken to a local hospital under police guard for the removal of a knife, which was stuck in his left shoulder, after allegedly being involved an altercation with the deceased.

The suspect is expected to appear in Alexandra Magistrates’ Court once he is fully recovered.

Alex Police Station spokesperson, Captain Allie Kodisang said the incident occurred at 6pm on 25 March on the corner of 3rd and Rooth avenues. The deceased was identified by his brother as 37-year-old Tsabalira Sekoai.

The investigating officer was called to Alexandra Clinic where the deceased was taken and confirmed stab wounds on the deceased’s chest as the probable cause of death.

The deceased’s brother handed over the knife to the officer as the murder weapon.
