Lovers’ relationship ends badly in Alex, police officers investigate case of alleged rape

ALEXANDRA – Read about how a relationship between two ex-lovers goes sour and ends in alleged rape.

Alexandra police officers are currently investigating a suspect who allegedly raped his ex-lover after ending the relationship via SMS.

The spokesperson for Alexandra Police Station, Lieutenant Allie Kodisang said the incident happened at about 6am on 27 February at the victim’s residence on 3rd Avenue.

The victim claimed that her then lover sent her an SMS on 6 February while she was at her residence in Limpopo in which he called her names and rejected her.

When she returned to Alex on 27 February, the victim collected her belongings from the suspect’s residence. Later, the suspect came and knocked at her door and she opened up while wrapped in a towel.

When the victim asked what the suspect wanted, the suspect allegedly pushed her onto the bed and allegedly raped her.

After allegedly raping the victim, the suspect then dressed and left.

Investigations are currently underway.
