ALERT: More heavy rains expected today
JOHANNESBURG - Following unexpected flash floods yesterday, weather services predict more thunderstorms.
Following severe flooding in Johannesburg last night (9 November), the South African Weather Service has issued a warning of more heavy rains underway for Gauteng today (10 November).

Gauteng Weather tweeted saying heavy rains, severe thunderstorms and hail can be expected between 2pm and 11om today.

The SA Weather Service warns that thunderstoms will spread to the central and eastern Free State, eastern parts of the North West, Mpumalanga highveld, Gauteng and southern parts of Limpopo during the course of today.
The rain in Gauteng is expected to carry through until tomorrow (Friday).
OR Tambo International Airport and the N3 were flooded. Several fatalities have also been reported.
UPDATE: The death toll from Wednesday's #floods in Gauteng has now climbed to 6. More people still missing.
