Nicki Minaj show tickets for grabs by youth

ALEXANDRA - The Joburg City Council wants the youth to participate in profiling council's service delivery work through its campaign, 'I Know My Joburg'.

The Joburg City Council wants the youth to participate in profiling its service delivery work through the I Know My Joburg campaign.

The two-week campaign, which kicked off in the beginning of March, urges young people to take pictures of whatever they see as service delivery in their respective communities and explain how it impacts their everyday life by using the #I Know My Joburg.

A total of 13 winners will be selected from all the submissions for taking the best photograph and adding the most inspiring caption or creative narrative.

Those who engage actively in the campaign stand a chance to win double VIP tickets to the Nicki Minaj concert in Johannesburg.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to follow the City’s social media accounts and to listen to radio stations YFM, UJ FM and VoW for campaign information.

It is hoped that the campaign will create awareness and increase the youth’s involvement in other initiatives such as Vulidlel’ eJozi and Jozi@Work and, in the process, expose them as future leaders to available career opportunities in the local government sector.
