Valentine heartbreak: Man robbed blind by lover while queuing at clinic
ALEXANDRA - A woman duped her Alex lover into going to queue for her at Alex Clinic while she remained behind and stole from him.
A woman from Tembisa recently duped her Alex lover into standing in a queue for her at Alex Clinic while she allegedly stole bank cards, clothes and later withdrew more than R2 000 from his accounts.
Alex police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said they were looking for Milecent Masedi Mashaba (24) in connection with a case of theft allegedly committed on 29 January at about 5.30am.
The woman and victim have been lovers since November last year and on 29 January, Mashaba is said to have asked her boyfriend to go and queue for her at the clinic as she was not feeling well and the boyfriend duly complied.
A couple of hours afterwards, Mashaba failed to arrive at the clinic and the victim decided to go back home, thinking maybe she fell asleep. On arrival home, he found his clothes, two bank cards, R780, his ID book and driver’s licence missing.
The boyfriend later learnt that she had withdrawn R900 from his Capitec account and R1 000 from his Nedbank account. The boyfriend made the mistake of writing the pin numbers for both his cards on the back of each one.
He is said to have gone frantically searching for her in Tembisa, to no avail, and made numerous calls to her cellphone which went unanswered.

The boyfriend then decided to go and open a theft case at Alexandra Police Station. Mashaba is said to originally come from Mokopane in Limpopo. Maphakela said the police were appealing to anyone with information about the whereabouts of Mashaba to contact them.
