Rand Show promises to be ‘bigger and better’

JOBURG - One of Joburg's biggest destinations on the Easter holiday calendar, the Rand Show will even be bigger and better in 2016 when it opens its gates at the Nasrec Expo Centre on 25 March up until 3 April.

One of Joburg’s biggest events on the Easter holiday calendar, the Rand Show, will be even bigger and better this year when it opens its gates at the Nasrec Expo Centre on 25 March to 3 April.

With 11 exhibitor categories and a full line-up of family and youth-focused entertainment, the 2016 Rand Show is expected to be a bumper attraction. Marketed as ‘Joburg’s Biggest Day Out,’ this year’s iconic event promises to live up to its claim of ‘big opportunities’ and ‘big numbers’, said Craig Newman, chairman of Dogan Exhibitions and Events, owners of the Rand Show brand.

The exhibition categories will be in fashion and accessories, good food, garden and outdoor, health and beauty, home living, kids kingdom, the man cave, outdoor adventure, pets and animals, an SA showcase, and science and tech. There will also be a ‘big sale’.

“The Rand Show has always been a great opportunity for brands, corporates and organisations to promote themselves to a large, affluent sector of consumers,” said Newman.

“We predict that this year will be a very successful one for our exhibitors.”

The show is one of the biggest consumer exhibition and entertainment events in the southern hemisphere and will again this year feature the South African National Defence Force which has become the biggest crowd-pleaser.

There will also be scheduled daily children’s shows, as well as an interactive food theatre with the participation of well-known chefs; plus sports and outdoor activity demonstrations.
