According to EWN, Red Ants have been called in to clear away rubbish which has been collecting for a week since the strike started.
Pickitup is encouraging workers to return to work or face possible dismissal.
Pickitup MD, Amanda Nair, reportedly told EWN that the ongoing strike was costing the City of Joburg R2 million a day.
