Man demands his lobola cattle back from boyfriend of his ‘wife’

ALEXANDRA - A man who mistook his sister-in-law for his wife beat the daylight out of a man who standing in a street corner with her.

A man who mistook his sister-in-law for his wife beat the daylights out of a man who was standing on a street corner with her.

This was after he demanded to be given his lobola cattle back after thinking that his wife was cheating on him. The two men engaged in a fierce battle before onlookers intervened and separated them. The lobola man then turned to his sister-in-law and beat her up, accusing her of cheating on him.

It was at this stage that the other man realised that it was a case of mistaken identity but the damage had already been done, the police said. According to the police, the suspect has since been arrested for common assault and is due to appear in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court.
