Connie Daycare Centre in Alex celebrates Easter

Connie Daycare Centre in Alexandra celebrates Easter with a trip for its learners to Alex Mall to indulge them in the luxury of chocolate treats.

The Easter holidays came early for the nursery school learners of the Connie Daycare Centre.

They were taken on an Easter egg-buying spree at the Alex Mall to spoil the pre-schoolers in remembrance of the late owner and founder of the centre Constance Cebisile Ntini.

Ntini died in October last year and the new principal Cindy Khumalo and staff members took the children on the chocolate trip of their lives, with each learner getting a box of Easter eggs as this was a day of traditional Easter egg hunting.

“We wanted to buy something the pre-schoolers will enjoy with their families while at the same time putting smiles on the faces of the more than 30 children of the nursery school,” Khumalo said.

She said the school hoped to make the Easter egg trip an annual event to stimulate a sense of giving and caring for each other in the minds of the learners.
