Alex coach cagey about AmaZulu ‘warriors’ in next round of the Nedbank Cup

Alex's Dondol Stars co-coach Vincent 'Young Master' Rammoni exercised caution when asked to comment on whether this will be another slaughter from his charges when they next clash with AmaZulu in the Nedbank Cup round of 16.

Alex co-coach of Mamelodi side Dondol Stars Vincent ‘Young Master’ Rammoni took a more cautious approach to his Nedbank Cup game against AmaZulu FC when the draw for the round of 16 was conducted on February 15.

Unlike his attitude in the first round of 32 where he openly told everybody that cared to listen that he would beat SuperSport United, Young Master was a bit cagey when approached by Alex News for comment after the draw.
“We will respect them as a professional side that plays in the highest league in the country,” was all that Rammoni was prepared to share with the media ahead of the next round clash of the ‘David versus Goliath’ cup competition whose dates and venues are still to be announced by the Premier Soccer League in consultation with the sponsors Nedbank.

The ABC Motsepe League outfit disposed of veteran coach Gavin Hunt’s SuperSport when the two teams locked horns at the Lucas ‘Masterpieces’ Moripe Stadium in Attridgeville in one of the rarest moments for the Alex tactician who also coaches a local side, Malandela Mighty Heroes in the Johannesburg Regional League that was formerly known as the SAB League.
Even when pressed for comment, Young Master would not budge and said they will approach the game just like any other game and hope to come out with a good result. They are still a PSL team and we will give them the respect they deserve,” Rammoni said.

AmaZulu FC will be the away side against Dondol, which has since earned itself the nickname of ‘giant killers’ after having knocked out SuperSport and everyone will be out to see whether that much-talked-about slaying of the Goliath was no fluke.

The full draw of the round of 16 is:
Dondol Stars versus AmaZulu
Kaizer Chiefs versus Casric Stars
Orlando Pirates versus Venda Football Academy
Mamelodi Sundowns versus Marumo Gallants
Lamontville Golden Arrows versus Royal AM
Chippa United versus Mpheni Home Defenders.
Sekhukhune United versus Cape Town Spurs
TS Galaxy versus Stellenbosch FC.
