Bombani Shelter is a shelter that caters to women and children who are abused at home. The foundation was welcomed by Patricia Zimba, the social auxiliary worker at the shelter who showed them around. Zimba said they admit 20 women for seven months, and they have family rooms that accommodate women who have children while the other women share rooms.

“We teach our clients certain skills, such as gardening and sewing. At this stage, sewing is a bit of a challenge as only three machines are working and we don’t have an instructor yet.”

Afterwards Constance Madi from South Africa Partners led the meeting with a prayer, and the women and children enjoyed lighthearted conversations over lunch.
