Alex learners to have another bite at the cherry to exhibit their projects

Relieved learners from Alex schools said they were delighted to have been offered another bite at the cherry after missing the opportunity to exhibit their scientific project at the Eskom Science Expo held at the Wits University's Flower Hall on July 23.

Four Alex learners who had transport issues and could not make it on time to exhibit their science projects at the Eskom Science Expo’s Johannesburg Regional Fair held at Wits University’s Flower Hall will get a second bite at the cherry.

This was confirmed by the regional fair director Jane Wasonga who said the late arrivals would be accommodated at the other Johannesburg Regional Fair to be held in Boksburg on August 20.

Speaking to Alex News at the Flower Hall event, KwaBhekilanga Secondary School’s Lindokuhle Malinga said he and his three other colleagues had been eager to exhibit their scientific projects but had transport issues that caused them to arrive late.

“We are so delighted to have this bite at the cherry again as we thought all had been lost for us with our transport nightmares which were beyond our control,” said Lindokuhle upon hearing the news.
