Sibambisene Foundation continues to serve community members in Alex

FAR EAST BANK – Sibabisene Foundation provided food for 150 vulnerable community members at this month's (October) outreach programme.


Sibambisene Foundation, a non-profit organisation based at Far East Bank, participated in their monthly outreach programme of feeding the community of Alex on 20 October.

The NPO served 150 vulnerable community members with vegetables, maize meal and sanitary pads. Bongani Xulu, the head of interfaith and traditional affairs at Sibambisene said, “Our organisation is prepared to tackle the socio-economic challenges facing our communities. As Sibambisene Foundation, meaning working together, we believe that together we can build our communities for the better.”

According to Xulu, the foundation’s mission is to alleviate poverty, health-related issues, substance abuse, gender-based violence, crime prevention, and social injustices (poverty and unemployment) through education programmes like skills development and income generated opportunities.

The foundation receives supports from various organisation, which makes it possible for Sibambisene to hold these outreach programme. “We would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to The Angel Network, South African Jewish Board of Dispute (SAJBD) and Mindworx Consulting for their contribution in our organisation,” he concluded.
