Man shot dead in Alex
Alex – The deceased was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect and certified dead on arrival at a local clinic.
An Alex man was shot multiple times while sitting in his car outside a pub in 1st Avenue on 4 September at about 9.15pm.
The man was rushed to a local clinic where he was certified dead on arrival. A murder case has been opened at the Alexandra Police Station and investigations are underway.

“The deceased was sitting in his vehicle’s passenger seat outside David Pub when an unknown man fired multiple shots into his upper body,” said Alex police spokesperson, Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha.
Mbatha said the injured man was taken to a local clinic for medical attention but was certified dead on arrival. His next of kin have been informed back home.
