Telcolink, a subsidiary of Afribiz Invest, is a wholly black-owned ICT company that recently undertook a mammoth task of upgrading the ICT network cables at Minerva in a bid to enable the township school to keep pace on its journey to join the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Technology is already sweeping through many classrooms across the country as educators and developers create more and more products designed to enhance the education system in the country, especially following the outbreak of the Covid-19 global pandemic.

Part of Telcolink’s journey in reshaping the future of education is to provide network support and upgrade the ICT infrastructure at the schools. With this in mind, Telcolink upgraded the network cables at Minerva.

“New technologies like AI, machine learning, and educational software aren’t just changing the field for students; they’re shaking up the role of educators, creating philosophical shifts in approaches to teaching, and remodelling the classroom,” said Austin Mashawana, executive clients advocate for Telcolink.

Mashawa said with an influx of new learning models being easily available, traditional educational methods are bound to evolve in the next decade and Telcolink has officially collaborated with Altron to combine their technical expertise in order to achieve their goal to provide end-to-end holistic technology solutions.
