TSUTSUMANI –The female complainant said that one of the suspects hit her on the right leg with a pick head.

Police detectives are investigating a house robbery case that took place on 14 August at 1am in Ext 9 Tsutsumani, Alexandra.

Spokesperson for the Alexandra Police Station Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha said the complainant said she was asleep in her room when she heard someone at the door and then saw two men enter her bedroom. One of the suspects allegedly had a firearm.

Mbatha said, according to the complainant, the suspects allegedly demanded money, a cell phone, her son’s cell phone, takkies worth R700 and R800 in cash. “One suspect hit her on the right leg with a pick head. They also demanded car keys. When she told them she did not have car keys, they threatened to shoot her son if she did not give them the keys,” explained Mbatha.

“The complainant added that the suspects left the room and went to the four other rooms in the yard where they robbed the tenants of a Plasma TV, a laptop, a Mobicel cell phone, a Hisense cell phone and white all-star takkies. All valued at R9 050.”

A case docket was opened for further investigation.
