In tweets: First Alexandra Daredevil run raises awareness for prostate cancer

Local athletes gathered in Alexandra to take part in the Daredevil Run on 15 February to raise awareness for prostate cancer.
The KwaBhekilanga Sports group attended the 10km run which was hosted by local runners club Run Alex and Hollard.
Hundreds of runners woke up in the early hours of the morning to take part in the race. Run Alex chairperson, Sphiwe Nkosi, said they run around Alexandra to raise awareness, pointing out that this is the first Daredevil Run to be hosted in Alexandra.
Thulani Sibisi (66), who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2012, spoke to runners after the run. He urged men of all ages to test for prostate cancer and live a healthy life.
