JOBURG – Makhubo shares his plans for the City.
The City of Johannesburg Executive Mayor Geoff Makhubo hosted a media briefing on 5 December to share his vision for the City.
Makhubo was elected as the City’s mayor on 4 December, succeeding Herman Mashaba whose last day in office was on 27 November. At the briefing, Makhubo highlighted some of the challenges faced by the City including finances, land invasions, illegal dumping and poor maintenance of infrastructure.

Makhubo expressed his commitment to serving the City and said aggressive plans to change these challenges would be implemented.
