Johannesburg Flying Squad nabs six suspects

JOHANNESBURG – The suspects are expected to appear in different magistrate's courts soon.

 


Johannesburg Flying Squad arrested six suspects facing serious crimes over the past weekend between 5 and 8 April in different areas.

According to the spokesperson for the unit, Sergeant Desmond Subramoney, the suspects were arrested during their routine patrol duties – one suspect was arrested for theft, four for possession of drugs and one for a stolen vehicle.

He also added that six reported stolen vehicles were also recovered. “The stolen vehicles recovered are two Ford Rangers, a VW Polo, a Kia and as well as a Toyota Yaris.”

He said all the six suspects, aged between 23 and 45, are expected to appear soon in the different magistrate’s courts facing different charges.

“Members of the public are encouraged to continue to work with the police by reporting crime and any suspicious persons and activities.”
