Alexandra police are tracking four male suspects for alleged business robbery and attempted murder of a shop owner at Yarona Building, Wynberg.
Police spokesperson Captain Stephen Malatji said the suspects, one of whom was known by the victim from previous robberies at the shop, walked into the place on 22 March. They harassed the cashiers and demanded money. The victim, who was in an office, attempted to flee from the shop through a back door. In the process, he was shot in the shoulder by one of the suspects and lost a wallet with R1 000 which the suspects took.
Malatji said the suspects took R5 000 from the tills and disappeared in the crowd with the R6 000. He asked members of the public with knowledge of the suspects and their whereabouts to inform the police.
