Eskom has urged customers to use electricity sparingly and switch off all non-essential appliances as this will help reduce the power in the national grid.
Although Eskom did not implement load-shedding yesterday, 11 March, the power utility has said that the risk of load-shedding till remains high for today. They added, however, that load-shedding will only be implemented if absolutely necessary.
