JOHANNESBURG – Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba hosts Inner City Partnership Forum.

The City of Johannesburg Mayor, Herman Mashaba together with the MMC for Development Planning, Reuben Masango  hosted an Inner City Partnership Forum at the  New Council Chamber, Metro Centre on 26 February.

This forum aims to work with the City of Johannesburg to achieve the rejuvenation of the inner city which is integral to achieving economic growth, investment and employment opportunities in the city.

The meeting gives partners and stakeholders an opportunity to present the work they have been doing in the inner city. Mashaba said the City had 150 buildings available to the private sector for development.

The mayor also apologised for the closure of the M2 bridge. Mashaba said the City wouldn’t risk the lives of people by allowing them to continue using the M2 bridge. The bridge will be closed from 28 February to the end of October 2019 for structural repairs.
