Hip-hop music star urges Alexandra High School matriculants to remain positive and calm

ALEXANDRA – Hip-hop star Anatii visited Alex High to give words of motivation to the matric class of 2018.

South African music artist and record producer Anathi Mnyango (25), better known as Anatii, has urged Alexandra High School Grade 12 learners, to remain calm and not panic during their examination writing.

The Young Independents Influencer of the Year 2017 and hip-hop music artist from the Eastern Cape currently resides in Johannesburg. He visited Alexandra High School, one of the best performing township schools in the province, to motivate and give his support to this year’s matric class who are currently writing their final exams.

He told learners not to panic and encouraged them to work in groups in preparations for the exams. “I urge you guys to work together in groups and help each other during this emotionally and mentally challenging period of exams. Do not panic, keep calm and remain positive,” said Anatii.

Grade 12 leaner Lesego Pooe (21) said Anatii’s visit to the school and words of encouragement will be very useful, even after the exams. “We are so grateful that people like Anatii came to show their support to us during this challenging time. We will go to the exam room knowing that there are people like him behind us and that alone will go a long way. We will ensure that he doesn’t regret visiting Alex High,” Pooe said.
