The Alex Police Station attended 30 priority crimes, 44 other crimes and arrested 52 suspects for a range of criminal offences in the week ending 25 June.
Police spokesperson, Captain Allie Kodisang said the priority crimes were:
- 3 for murder
- 3 for rape
- 4 for theft of motor vehicles
- 5 for residential burglary
- 5 for business burglary
- 6 for business robbery
- 4 for robbery with firearm.
Other reported crimes:
- 1 for robber with other form of weapon
- 2 for common robbery
- 2 for attempted murder
- 2 for theft from motor vehicle
- 6 for malicious damage to property
- 8 for general theft
- 1 for fraud
- 1 for sexual assault
- 8 for assault with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm
- 13 for common assault.

Arrests were:
- 4 for rape
- 1 for sexual assault
- 11 for common assault
- 6 for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm
- 3 for shoplifting
- 5 for malicious damage to property
- 1 for business burglary
- 6 for drug-related incidents
- 1 for general theft
- 2 for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition
- 12 for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
