Learner bags first place in science competition

Brackenhurst Primary School's Grade five learner, Michaela Michael, excelled in the Department of Basic Education Science Fair competition.

Michaela Michael of Brackenhurst Primary School was one of two Grade Five learners chosen to represent her school at the Department of Basic Education’s Science Fair competition.

She bagged first place on the district level during August in the life sciences category to then represent the Ekurhuleni South District in Edenvale on September 10. She then won first place on the provincial level in her selected category.

“We would like to recognise her for this excellent achievement. Well done to you on your achievement. You are a future world changer. Reach for the stars and never let anyone dull your sparkle,” said her mother Neetu Michael.
