19 Unleash the creative you and book for a stained glass workshop in the tranquil settings of Henley on Klip on February 19. Workshops last for about four hours and you will complete a suncatcher, which is yours to keep. All tools and material, as well as instructions, are provided.

Workshops are aimed at people who want to try their hand at the art before they commit to buying the equipment and, of course, at those who want to have an afternoon of fun with friends.

19 Niche Community Market is a diverse group of creative sellers and food traders. The market is open every Saturday at the Walkerville Showgrounds from 09:00 to 14:00. Stallholders sell products like honey, jams, handmade natural soaps, plants, fresh produce, aloe creams, cookies and biscuits, biltong, koeksisters, fudge and candy floss, as well as a variety of crafted goods.

Fresh food vendors include Asian food, boerewors rolls, vetkoek and Indian food. Pop in at the gin bar, enjoy craft beer and ciders and just chill out. The market is pet-friendly. For more information, visit the Facebook page NicheCommunityMarket.

23 Seniors stroll through Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve on the last Wednesday of every month. Depart at 09:00 for the longer walk and 09:30 for the slower, shorter walk. Meet at 10:00 at the coffee shop. Remember to bring water, a hat, your sunscreen, a walking stick and wear comfortable shoes. NEW 26 A Family Fest will take place on February 26 at Sundowners at 12:00. There will be entertainment for the whole family. Artists like Loufi, Biggy, Reborne Band, Mirandi, Essential Groove, Morgan Beatbox and Dan Vee will be performing at the Family Fest.

Tickets cost R45 for children and R150 for adults. Those interested can book their tickets via Quicket.

27 Guided walk every fourth Sunday of the month at Kliprivier Nature Reserve. Meet at 07:00 to leave at 07:30 sharp at Precinct Entrance, Peggy Vera Road, at the coffee shop. All fitness levels are catered for this walk, which takes about three hours.

Come and enjoy a healthy outdoor experience appreciation of nature in the Jewel of the South. Bring water, a hat, a walking stick and sunscreen. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Donations used for the upkeep of the reserve are charged at R50 per adult, R30 children and can be paid into their account via EFT, Quicket, Snap Scan.
