Nu Metro The Glen goes big this week with 2021’s most epic and spectacular big-screen release: Dune is an out-of-this-world movie, unlike anything you’ve experienced before!

Fans have been waiting over 50 years for this remake of the classic sci-fi thriller from visionary director Denis Villeneuve. It’s time to experience this visually stunning masterpiece with massive scope and scale in Nu Metro The Glen’s larger-than-life Xtreme cinema.

For family movie fun or to just enjoy with your BFF, there’s the new animated comedy, Ron’s Gone Wrong. If you’re in the mood for a solid thriller, Martin Scorsese presents The Card Counter.

Nu Metro The Glen is now open daily, seven days a week, with more shows to select from under lockdown level one.

Here are this week’s new movie releases at Nu Metro The Glen:

DUNE (13 V)

Dune is the mythic, emotionally-charged action-adventure, based on the all-time bestseller by Frank Herbert, set against the backdrop of intergalactic war and intense family drama, and brought to life by a stellar all-star cast.

Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people.

As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive.

RON’S GONE WRONG (PG V)

Walking, talking, digitally connected bots have become children’s best friends, and 11-year-old Barney, a socially awkward middle-schooler struggling in the social media age, gets a new digital friend: “Ron” – that’s designed to be his instant “best friend out of the box.”

But soon Ron’s malfunctions launch them into an action-packed journey in which boy and robot come to terms with the wonderful messiness of true friendship. Ron’s Gone Wrong is a great animated comedy-adventure for the whole family to enjoy.

THE CARD COUNTER (16 DLNSV)

Redemption is the long game in The Card Counter. Told with cinematic intensity by director Paul Schrader, this revenge thriller tells the story of an ex-military interrogator turned gambler haunted by the ghosts of his past decisions and features riveting performances from stars Oscar Isaac, Tiffany Haddish, Tye Sheridan, and Willem Dafoe.
