WATCH: Operation O Kae Molao in Moffat View precinct

They started at Video Town in Rosettenville where they did a stop and search.

Various law-enforcement agencies joined forces on February 18 to raid Moffat View’s precinct.

This integrated operation focused mainly on tracing suspects wanted for crimes and also enforcing the by-laws.
Operation O Kae Molao aims to prioritise the safety of Gauteng residents.

This was a joint effort from Moffat View SAPS, Joburg Central SAPS, JMPD, Gauteng Traffic Police, SOS, National Security and Reaper Tactical SA.

They started at Video Town in Rosettenville where they did a stop and search. They then moved to a ‘club house’ in Regents Park, corner of Augusta Road and Samuel Street, where two suspects were taken in for questioning.

From there, they moved to ‘green house’ at The Hill in Yestor Road, where six people were taken to Moffat View police station for questioning.

Moffat View SAPS Capt Joseph Makhubela said they need to take fingerprints of all the people they arrested on the day. “There are robberies, hijacking and other crimes in the area. And it is important to take these people into the police station to verify whether they are not wanted.

“We visited these places because we had complaints from the public,” he said.
