Scheduled to make its first appearance at this year’s race at the Nurburgring, the Audi R8 Green Hell Edition will be limited to just 50 examples worldwide and all will be numbered accordingly.

As its name suggests, the limited-edition R8 wears a dark green foil wrap called Tioman green and buyers can choose from other exterior hues such as ibis white, Daytona grey, and mythos black.

The exterior also gets black foil wraps on the bonnet, A-pillars, roof, and on some parts of the rear end. It also features a matte black styling pack on the side-view mirrors, rear wing, sideblades and rear diffuser.

It runs n 20-inch five-spoke matte black rims with red accents.

Inside, there are lightweight bucket seats with centre panels upholstered in Alcantara.

The same material is also used on the steering wheel rim with its red 12 oā€™clock marker, on the hood over the digital instrument display, on the door armrests, knee pads and on the centre armrest.

Almost all these areas come with contrasting stitching in a blue-green ā€œKailash fernā€ tone.

The monoposto ā€“ the large arc running around the cockpit ā€“, the instrument panel, the door pull handle and door rail, as well as the floor mats with their red piping, also come with contrasting stitching in this colour. The floors mats feature a ā€œGREEN HELL R8ā€ logo.

Under the bonnet of the Audi R8 Green Hell limited edition lies a 5.2-litre V10 naturally aspirated engine that gushes out 456 kW of power plus a seven-speed S Tronic transmission that sends all that amount of oomph to all four wheels.

It catapults from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and will accelerate to a top speed of 331 km/h. The Audi R8 green hell is produced in the ā€œBƶllinger Hƶfeā€ manufacturing facility near the Audi Neckarsulm plant.

In Germany, the Audi R8 Green Hell Edition carries a EUR233,949.59 pricetag and that equates to R4 630 552 at the local currency exchange rate.
