Craig Newman, CEO Johannesburg Expo Centre, said in 2020, they aim to surprise people with a brand-new journey

“While we will always celebrate what has made The Rand Show one of the most loved events of the year, added variety will mean each visitor can discover something unique, or of value to them,” said Newman.

“This positioning also makes the event the ideal platform for exhibitors to showcase and participate, and we are already seeing good uptake from a wide and new range of brands with everything from furniture to perfumes, beauty products, crafts, services and more.”

Newman said with something for everyone, a day at The Rand Show will be an extraordinary day – creating a great memory.

During the launch, some exciting additions were also announced, such as six new zones.

These include:

• A Play Zone where the Festival of Gaming and Disney Frozen 2 experience will be taking place.

• A Foodie Zone featuring a cooking competition called the Jacaranda Clash of Kitchens as well as on-trend produce and experiences, such as craft breweries and gin tasting, a coffee and chocolate experience and delicious food tasters.

• A Lifestyle and Retail Zone where visitors stand a chance to win a home makeover with Easy Life Kitchens. Visitors can also meet Suzelle DIY.

• The SA Zone which will showcase various departments and attractions in South Africa.

• An Outdoor Zone featuring a Military Display, Field Band, Air Show and Drum Majorettes.

• An Entertainment Zone where the talented Ndlovu Choir will perform, with Ralf Schmitt as a guest judge for the newly introduced choir category.
